Health experts estimate that over 80% of infectious
diseases are spread by hand contact.
According to a survey conducted by the American Society
for Microbiology, 95% of adults say they always wash
their hands after using public restrooms; however,
just 78% were observed doing so.
But you don't need scientific studies to tell you
that being in jam-packed subway cars and buses can
be a hot-zone for airborne diseases, that's common
sense.
And not many of us really wash our hands as much as
we should, especially right before we eat, touch our
faces, rub our eyes, etc.
We sneeze or cough into our hands. We pet dogs and
cats. We handle money all day. And evidently, not
all of us always wash our hands after using the bathroom!
You don't need us to list all the things that could
be left behind on those handrails in order to decide
that
you wouldn't exactly wipe a piece of bread across
the poles and then eat it right?
You have enough to worry about in your daily life,
why worry about getting sick too. Use your sick days
for what you really want...a day at the beach!
